1. There are over 60,000 different types of tree in the world. The most common in England are Ash, Aspen, Silver Birch, Oak and Chestnut.

2. Different animals live and feed in different types of tree. For example, squirrels prefer Oak trees because they eat their acorns.

3. Trees are home to birds who build their nests in their branches, bats who roost in their branches and badgers that build their sets among the roots.

4. Most trees loose their leaves in the Autumn however some don't and these are called 'ever-green'.
