Tyrannosaurus Rex

Tyrannosaurus is a dinosaur that lived during the Cretaceous Period, 68 to 66 million years ago.

Tyrannosaurus lived throughout North America, on what was then an island known as Laramidia

Tyrannosaurus was a bipedal (it walked on two legs) carnivore with a massive skull balanced by a long, heavy tail. Tyrannosaurus arms were short but unusually powerful for their size and had two clawed fingers.

The most complete fossil ever found measures 12 meters in length and 3.6 meters tall.

Tyrannosaurus rex was most likely an apex predator, preying upon armoured herbivores, however some experts have suggested the dinosaur was primarily a scavenger.
