A waste of food

A third of the food that is harvested or made for humans around the world is wasted or lost. This is enough to feed 3 billion people!

The average UK home spends £470 each year on food which ends up in the bin and 100 million pints of milk are thrown down the sink in the UK alone!

We can all help with this problem by being better at only buying what we need. Use the 'best before' as a guide and try to use left overs in other meals.
